About vacant-nebula.com

A picture of us at Emma’s first birthday party Hello, and welcome to vacant-nebula.com. If you’ve found yourself on this website, odds are that you already know me, in which case this page isn’t really for you. If you have somehow stumbled across this page but don’t know me, then allow me to introduce myself! My name’s Kip and I’m a graduate of North Carolina State University (go Wolfpack!) where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2004. Since that time, I’ve been living and working in Charlotte, North Carolina as a software programmer. In April of 2005 I got married to Stephanie, who is also an NC State grad. Three years later, Stephanie gave birth to Emma, who has to be one of the cutest little girls you’ve ever seen (and I’m completely unbiased, of course).

You’ll quickly find that the primary purpose of this website is to be a blog and photo album for our little family. I don’t know of any other husband-and-wife blogs out there on the internet, so I’m going to go ahead and haphazardly claim that this is the first (while categorically rejecting any evidence to the contrary). Blog topics are generally whatever we feel like writing about; I most often feel like writing about video games, programming, web development, and things in this world that interest or annoy me. Other than that, you’ll find some low-quality music that I’ve recorded, and PicTML (a pointless web application for converting pictures into oversized web pages). Feel free to browse around, and if you have any comments feel free to use the space below to e-mail us.
